out into the garden quite naturally, without having to be coerced or
bargained with. Make the most of this - it is by no means normal.
- Most
children will be happy to join you sometimes when you are gardening. It
is up to you whether you make that occasion pleasurable for them, and
it is certainly worth your while to try. If they enjoy it, they will
come back more readily and more often - and then a lot of your battle
is already won.
